Other Characters: Rapunzel, Eris, Yuna and Robin Hood.
Name: Kidagakash "Kida" Nedakh
From: Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Appearance: here.
Age: Approximately 8,500-8,900 years old. Though she boasts the appearance of a 28 year old, the Atlantean calender is much longer than the Gregorian. She isn't bothered by her physical age.
Gender: Female.
Personality: Kida is a warrior, with the heart of a lion. She's fierce and can be an unstoppable force when she wants to be. More specifically, when something is important to her or someone she cares about. She follows a code of honor as instilled into her through her training as a warrior and protector of Atlantis, however, she isn't adverse to breaching this code when it comes to the good of her people, friends or family. Kida is kind, and has a willingness to learn from whomever she can.
She prefers to deal with problems as they arise, whether they be hers or someone else's. Kida is compassionate, and near selfless. She will help anyone, depending on their actions and returned compassion towards her. She doesn't believe in owing or holding debts, but she does believe in karma. She won't help those that in her eye, don't deserve such a luxury, i.e. those that have wronged her or other people. However, she isn't quick to judge, and is a giver of chances in many an occasion. She believes a person can and will change for the better if given the chance, but if/when they don't...they instantly lose her favor.
She isn't particularly neat, nor does she like shoes very much at all.Knowledge is what drives Kida; to be the most she can be before she takes the throne as Queen of Atlantis. She cannot read, however she seeks all that she can that is within her reach.
Backstory: Kida is the princess of Atlantis by blood. She's the only daughter of the King and Queen, and in the early days of recorded history, Atlantis grew so great and prosperous, that it was said that the gods banished the great continent that was Atlantis to the depths of the ocean. Fortunately for the city and for Kida, the Heart of Atlantis, the collective emotions and energies of all the rulers that had come before, put their power together and protected what they could of the city. The cost was Kida's mother, the Queen of Atlantis. Kida remembers very little about this event, but it would shape her quest to find out just what happened.
During the downtime (and there was plenty of it, in fact, about 8000 years worth) Kida grew into a beautiful princess, intent on protecting the city from being discovered by outsiders. She trained under her father's strongest men and fiercest guardians, only to usurp them, and take the position as leader of the Atlantean's guardians. She led the team in their quest to find the truth, explore the city limits and surpass them, explore what was around them, and use it to their advantage. During this time she became incredibly athletic, skillful and built her strong will. However, it also built her curiosity, as she discovered the murals and paintings, texts and machines, and other means of technology that was once a part of her people's daily lives. All the culture she unearthed drove her passion to know more and more. The King, now aging by the day grew annoyed with her pestering and eventually, barred her from asking anymore. She would have to find it out herself.
When she and her warriors scoured the city limits yet again, they found a team of people, an expedition, being led from the surface. The group grew anxious and followed them, planning to exterminate them like they had on previous encounters with invaders. As they stalked the expedition, the obstacles grew scarce, and the warriors infiltrated the camp, looking through their belongings. Kida specifically came across the duffel of Milo Thatch, and she poured out his belongings, most importantly, the man's keepsake portrait of his grandfather, and his grandfather's helmet. She turned the picture around in her hands, and could tell of it's importance. A noise drew the group out of the camp to watch again from afar, only for the expedition team to be attacked by combustible fireflies---another defense against reaching the city of Atlantis.
Kida led her team into the ruin of the camp, only to come across Milo, thrown away from the group. Now was the time to enclose and gather information, however, Kida stopped her second in command. Milo was injured. Realization dawned on her; this man was the boy in the portrait. She could tell; he wasn't here to invade, he was here to learn, as she was. So, she decided to help him by healing the gash in his chest. The team made a break for it, back to the gates of Atlantis, however, Milo trundled after (at the idea that there were actual living people down here, under the ocean!!) The team followed Milo to the end of their trials in finding Atlantis, and met with her and the warriors near the outskirts. At first, the meeting was confrontational, Kida wasn't going to let them in without a proper understanding. Through Milo's knowledge of the Atlantean language (and several other dead [and alive] languages) Kida is convinced that they will be able to help her, and her people, know a little more about the history of the city of Atlantis.
Stepping out of the courtyards and into her father's chambers, she's on her way to approach her father about the travelers. Not soon after, she'll arrive in Ink City, without a clue as to how she got there.
Moral Standing: Kida is a semi-chaotic good. She is fierce when need be, however, she is always for the greater good in any situation.
Dreams: Kida aims to know the secret behind her mother's disappearance, and the story behind her people's past. She hopes that her knowledge will somehow benefit them in the future; when she becomes Queen.
Fears: Her greatest fear is to see her way of life as an Atlantean die out with her people. She doesn't wish to be responsible for leaving the way of the Atlantean behind. Her culture is important to her; it is as important to her as her friends and family.
Extra: As previously mentioned, Kida is a warrior. She is exceptionally strong and capable of lifting a man over her head, and flinging him. She is expertly trained in bringing down someone who is hostile, and will be armed when entering the City. Kida is also fluent in most if not all human languages, and will fall into them if required. The use of Atlantean (an actual, though fictional language!) will be prominent in her character! Translations will be provided.
Character Location: Kida will not have a location brought with her.
Writing Sample: Kida was previously played in the LJRP Disney_Academy. The link to her tag is here. If you would like something more recent, please notify me.
